Brian Burnie

Brian Burnie owns one of England’s most exclusive resort hotels. But when he turns 65 in a few weeks, he plans to sell it for $25 million and give the money away. Burnie says helping his wife Shirley battle breast cancer showed him that money and property are important, but not as important as people. The Burnies plan to retire to a small home and use the millions to establish a charity for other cancer victims. Burnie says his accountant thinks he’s mad, but "My ambition is to die penniless.” He says, “We come into this world with nothing and we should leave with nothing." Well, except the title of “Huck’s Hero.” I’ll give him that for free.
