Blair Noles of Gastonia, North Carolina, lost his job with NASCAR two years ago and has had no luck finding work. But that doesn’t stop him from trying to help others. He and his girlfriend had just finished distributing toys to needy kids when he stopped to buy a gallon of milk. His change was a dollar. Figuring that wouldn’t buy much, he just got a lottery ticket. He couldn’t believe it when the ticket won $10,000. But instead of buying a big Christmas gift for himself, Blair decided to give it back. With help from the Salvation Army and two local churches, he’s hosting a New Year’s Day lunch for 150 needy people, and giving them each a family gift bag full of warm clothes. Blair said, “You never know what God can turn a dollar into.” That’s true, Blair. But first, He has to put that dollar into the right hands.
